From 26 to 28 november, Rome will be the background of Taste of Excellence 2016,
the gastronomic festival dedicated to excellence: the latest trends of food service, experimental techniques and original dishes will be hosted at SET – Spazio Eventi Tirso, a few steps away from Villa Borghese.
The main theme of this 4th edition is innovation, not only for what concerns the latest technologies of food sector but also for the selection of food raw materials. Chefs, cooking schools and institutions will be involved in tastings and workshops to answer these questions: does the perfect food exist? How is going to be the restaurant of the future?
Friday 25 november will take place an opening ceremony reserved to press, where awards will be assigned to leading professionals and companies of the food service sector, selected by a jury. The 3 following days will be open to public, with different dedicated areas: from the Tasting Area, where to taste the products of the most exclusive brands, to Ristorante del Futuro, a special area dedicated to cook shows.
In the Excellence Academy Area there will be advanced training courses held by professional associations and cooking schools. Great attention will be dedicated to digital and social media, with a special Food and blogger Contest that will award the best blogger of the field.
Plus, the Excellence Lab will host meeting with specialists of Food & Beverage, talk shows and launches of gastronomic guides.
