NEW SPACE DESIGN MINIMASTER

This program is ideal for entrepreneurs, designers, visual experts and architects who want to gain an exclusive knowledge of Made in Italy high quality materials, design culture, techniques and styles.

They will learn how to design and create spaces able to listen to people’s needs, coached  by leading italian designers and architects, specialized in new trends, innovative materials and the emerging markets of the 21st century.

At the end of the program participants will be able to ideate, prototype and test a space for the retail, hospitality and wellness industry.

PARTICIPANTS WILL:

-          Work on design projects, gathering people from different backgrounds;

-          Think, discuss and design requirements related to functionality, esthetics and sustainability with three different applications: retail, hospitality and wellness;

-          Learn how to design structures and spaces with a distinctive personality, able to ensure the best possible interaction between final user and infrastructure;

-          Gain an awareness of the most recent trends in colors, materials, finishing and lighting technologies.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

1ST MONTH: KIK OFF

Under the supervision of our outstanding interior designers and architects specialized in new materials and innovative practices in the fields of interior design, urban planning and placemaking, participants will learn how to ideate, prototype and create  a space that listens to the people needs, in consideration of the social, cultural, economic and humanistic values of the Made in Italy Brand.

2nd MONTH: SPACE MODELLING

In this phase students will choose to focus their studio project on three areas of application: retail, hospitality and wellness projects will simulate a real professional approach: brief, development and pre-jury working  drawings presentations.

3rd MONTH: SPACE BRANDING

Coached and supported by strategists and experts of luxury brand design, communication, new trends and visual storytelling, participants will learn how to brand their spaces with an inimitable mark of distinction.

CAPSTONE ACTIVITIES

FINAL STUDIO PROJECT

Throughout the program participants will work in groups on the design of interior and urban spaces that will reflect their understanding of the Made in Italy Design Style. Pre-juries, simulations and critique sessions will end up in a final project presentation that will be held in the last week of the course.

Participants who have successfully completed all the steps of the program and demonstrated commitment in developing  the final project, will be awarded the final Mini-Master, Certificate by a jury staffed by top Italian designers, architects and entrepreneurs.

TRAINING ON THE JOB OPPORTUNITIES

At the end of the program, top ranked students will be individually coached to identify the best opportunities available for their professional development, trained on-the-job in the companies that are part of the BAU network, in Italy and worldwide.


Tailor your learning experience
This course can be completed in a 3-month period combined with conservation and preservation course, city and culture tours, Italian language course and other certificates.

Certificate of Attendance

At the end of each program enrolled students, who have attended at least 80% of the classes and successfully complete all required exams and projects, will receive a Certificate of attendance. An examination board composed of academicians and entrepreneurs will assess the final project presentation and award the student’s final certificate of attendance.

Deadline: Applicants, especially non european, are strongly suggested to complete the enrollment process at least 6 weeks before the beginning of the selected course.

Candidate Selection

Selection is based on the assessment of your CV, motivation letter and portfolio. Enrollments are limited. Once admitted, candidates will receive an admission letter.
